Find the perimeter of the given figures.

Concept used :-

Perimeter of any given figure is the sum of its given sides.

Solution :-

(i) The given figure is a trapezium

Perimeter = Sum of all sides

➥ Perimeter = 27 + 35 + 45 + 35 cm

➟ Perimeter = 142 cm

So, the perimeter of the first figure is 142 cm

(ii) The given figure is a square since all sides are equal.

Perimeter of square = 4 × Side

➜ Perimeter = 4 × 18

➝ Perimeter = 72 cm

∴ Perimeter of the second figure is 72 cm

(iii) The given figure is a rightwards arrow which has a rectangle and a triangle.

Perimeter = Sum of all sides

⇒ Perimeter = 8 + 2(16) + 2(4) + 2(12)

⇒ Perimeter = 8 + 32 + 8 + 24

➝ Perimeter = 72 cm

∴ Perimeter of the third figure = 72 cm

=4×Side

=4×18

=72 cm

(iii) Perimeter of Rightwards Arrow

= 8+16+4+12+12+4+16

=72 cm
