Hey there !
4(x-y)²-( x+y)²

= 4( x²+y²-2xy) -( x²+y²+2xy)

=4x²+4y²-8xy-x²-y²-2xy

= 3x²+3y²-10xy

= 3x²+3y²-9xy-xy

= 3x²-xy+3y²-9xy

= x( 3x-y ) -3y(-y+3x)

= (x-3y)(3x-y)

(Or )

4(x-y)²-( x+y)²

={ 2(x-y) } ²-( x+y)²

This is in the form of A²-B²= (A+B) (A-B)

=[ 2(x-y)+(x+y) ] [ 2(x-y) - ( x+y)]

= [2x-2y+x+y ] [ 2x-2y -x-y ]

=( 3x-y)(x-3y )

Hope helped !
