SOLUTION

TO SOLVE

Using elimination method

2x + y = 12 and x - y = 3

EVALUATION

Here the given system of equations are

2x + y = 12 - - - - - - - (1)

x - y = 3 - - - - - - - - - (2)

Equation 1 + Equation 2 gives

3x = 15

 \implies \sf{x = 5}

From Equation 2 we get by putting the value of x as

5 - y = 3

 \sf{ \implies \: y = 5 - 3}

 \sf{ \implies \: y = 2}

FINAL ANSWER

Hence the required solution is x = 5 , y = 2
