2x-y=5

-y=5-2x

y= -5+2x

substitute y

3x +2(-5-2x)=11

3x-10+4x=11

7x=11+10

7x=21

x=3

y= -5+2(3)

y=1

Answer:

2x − y = 5 .....(I)

3x + 2y = 11 .....(II)

Multiplying (I) with 2 we get

4x−2y=10 .....(III)

Adding (II) with (III)

7x=21⇒x=3

Putting the value of x in (I) we get

2×3−y=5

⇒6−y=5

⇒y=1
