(a) Area of the big rectangle = 54 × 40m^2
= 2160 m^2
Area of two small rectangle = 2× ( 2 × 40 )m^2
= 2 × 80 m^2
= 160 m^2
Area of the shaded region = 2160 - 160 m^2
= 2000 m^2
= 2160 m^2
Area of two small rectangle = 2× ( 2 × 40 )m^2
= 2 × 80 m^2
= 160 m^2
Area of the shaded region = 2160 - 160 m^2
= 2000 m^2

Answer:
(a) Area of Shaded Region = 40*50 = 2000
(b) Side length of white square = 50 - 4
The area of white square = (50-4)(50-4) = 46*46 = 2116
The area of bigger square 50*50 = 2500
Now, area of shaded region = Area of Big Square - Area of White = 2500-2116 = 384
(c) Area of Shaded Region = 1*40*2 + 1*14*6 = 80+84 = 164
There are two rectangles of dimensions 1x40 and, six rectangles of dimensions 14x1 (you can find the breadth 14 with 3x+2=30 and x=14)
