Here are your answers :

Given,

To subtract -6m² from 4m²

So,

4m² - (-6m²)

= 4m² + 6m² = 10m²

(ii)
5x² + 3y² - 4z² from -13y² + 3z² - x²

So,

-13y²+ 3z² - x²-(5x² + 3y² - 4z²)

Removing the brackets,
we have,

-13y²+ 3z² - x² - 5x² - 3y² + 4z²

Regrouping the terms,
we have,

-13y² - 3y² + 3z² + 4z² - x² - 5x²

= -16y² + 7z² - 6x² is the answer
