In triangle ABC,
BC2 = AC2 + AB2 .............(equ.1)
In triangle ADC,
AC2 = AD2 + DC2 ...............(equ.2)
In triangle BAD,
AB2 = AD2 + BD2 .................(equ.3)
(equ.3 - equ.2)
AB2 - AC2 = BD2 - DC2
= (2BC)2 - (1BC)2
= 4BC2 - BC2
= 3BC2
= 3(AC2+AB2)
AB2 - AC2 = 3(AB2 + AC2)
AB2 + AC2 = 3(AB2 - AC2)
BC2 = 3(AB2 - AC2)
