2.☝️(a) solids,

(b) liquids,

(c) gases

Explanation:

1.Matter is everything around you which is made up of particles. It has mass and occupies space. Mass is a physical quantity which expresses the amount of stuff in an object. The space inside the container that is occupied by matter is its volume

.

3.The physical process where matter moves from one state to another. Examples of such changes are melting, evaporation, boiling, condensation, freezing, crystallization, and sublimation.

4.Light is not considered matter because, light is just a form of energy. It neither occupies space (no volume), nor does it have any mass, which are the two essential characteristics of matter.

5.The process of change of solid substance into its liquid state is called melting or fusion. The constant temperature at which the solid becomes liquid upon absorption of heat at constant pressure is called the melting point of that solid at that pressure. Generally melting point increases with the increase in pressure.

6. On heating a sublimable solid, the molecules break free & escape from surface of the solid directly into vapour. Answer: On heating a sublimable solid the inter-particle attraction is overcome and the molecules break-free and escapes from the surface of the solid directly into the vapour

Answer:

1)

Matter can be anything present in the nature made up of parties , given that it has some mass and occupies some space.

2)

Solid-

#) It is tough.

#) the intermolecular spaces between the

particles are less. or we can say that particles are tightly packed.

#) High density

#) ex- iron

Liquid -

#) Comparitevly low density

#) the intermolecular spaces is big.

#) can easily change its shape.

#) ex- water.

Gas -

#) Very low density.

#) The intermolecualr spaces are very high. Or we can say the particles are very freely opened.

#) no proper shape.

#) ex - Oxygen

3)

The physical process where a matter(having a particular state) changes it state.

4)

It doesn't fulfill the criteria of being matter.

Matter is something that occupies some space and have some mass but it doesn't.

5)

Because it started to change it state from solid and liquid.
