•initial velocity of stone = u = 0m/s

•distance covered by stone to reach the ground = s = -50m (- because downward motion)

•time taken to reach the ground = t

•acceleration due to gravity = a = -g = -10m/s²

S = ut + gt²/2

-50 = 0(t) +(-10)t²/2

-50 = -5t²

t² = -50/-5

t² = 10

t = √10 s

•balloon is going up with uniform velocity hence acceleration is " ZERO "

S1 = ut + at²/2

S1 = ut +(0)t²/2

S1 = ut

S1 = 5 × √10

S1 = 5√10 m
