time taken by a hour hand to complete 360°=12×60=120

minutes while time taken by a minute hand to complete 360°=60 minutes

in one minute hour hand =360÷720=0.5°

minute hand=360÷60=6.00°

answer➡️gain by minute hand =6-0.5=5.5° OR 11/2°

=5°30
