Hey!!
We have
3x² + 2√5x - 5 = 0
=> 3x² + 3√5x - √5x - 5 = 0
=> 3x( x + √5) -√5( x + √5) = 0
=> (x + √5)(3x - √5) = 0
Thus x + √5 = 0
=> x = -√5
Also 3x - √5 = 0
=> x = √5/3
Hope this helps

3x² + 2√5x - 5 = 0
3x² + 3√5x - √5x - 5 = 0
3x( x + √5) -√5( x + √5) = 0
(x + √5)(3x - √5) = 0
x = -√5 or √5 / 3
