0.5x + \frac{x}{3} = 0.25x + 7 \\ \frac{x}{2} + \frac{x}{3} = \frac{x}{4} + 7 \\ \frac{3x + 2x}{6} = \frac{x + 28}{4} \\ 4(5x) = 6(x + 28) \\ 20x = 6x + 168 \\ 14x = 168 \\ x = \frac{168}{14} = 12

Answer:

0.5x + \frac{x}{3} = 0.25x + 7 \\ 1.5x + x = 0.75x + 21 \\ 2.5x = 0.75 + 21 \\ 1.75x = 21 \\ x= \frac{21}{1.75} \\ x = 12
