The value of x = -5/4

Given:

[ 1-x ]/3- 3/2 [ 2 - (x-5)/2 ] + [ (x+3)/4 = 1

To find:

Solve given equation

Solution:

Given [ 1-x ] - 3/2 [ 2 - (x-5)/2 ] + [ (x+3)/4 = 1

=> [ (1-x)/3 ] - 3/2 [ (4 - x - 5 ) /2 ] + [ (x+3)/4 ] = 1

=>  [ (1-x)/3 ] - 3/2 [ (- x - 1 ) /2 ] + [ (x+3)/4 ] = 1

=>  [ (1-x)/3 ] + [(3x + 3)/4 ] + [ (x+3)/4 ] = 1

=>  [ (1-x)/3 ] + [(3x + 3 + x + 3)/4 ] = 1

=>  [ (1-x)/3 ] + [(4x + 6)/4 ] = 1

=>  [ 4(1-x) + 3(4x + 6) ]/12 = 1

=>  4 - 4x + 12x + 18 = 12

=>  8x + 22 = 12

=>  8x = 12 - 22

=>  8x = -10

=>  4x = -5

=>  x = -5/4

Therefore,

The value of x = -5/4
