Answer:

LET 1/X = A and Let 1/y = B

2a + 3b = 13

5a - 4b = -2

multiply equation 1 by 5 and equation 2 by 2

10a + 15b = 65

10a - 8b = -4

23b = 69

b = 3

a = 13 - 3b / 2

a = 13 - 9 / 2

a = 4/2

a = 2

therefore

1/x = a

1/x = 2

x = 1/2

1/y = b

1/y = 3

y= 1/3

solutions : x= 1/2 and y = 1/3
