We have given Equation

=>2(x+6)=19

Now ,first step it to expanding the terms means removing the brackets and multiply the 2 with all the values inside the brackets say x+6.

=>2× x+2×6=19

=>2x+12=19

Now, we make Variable terms together and constant terms separate so,that we can find Variable's value.

12 is being added on the left side when we move it towards right side it sign gets gets changed from +ve to -ve.

=>2x= 19-12

=> 2x= 7

2 is multiplied with x so,gets divide with 7

=>x= 7/2

x= 7/2 or 3.5

Check:

=>2(x+6)=19

=>2x+12

=>2×7/2+12

=>7+12=19

LHS =RHS(verified)
