Answer:

Given,

1/7x+1/6y= 3

Or, 6y+7x/42xy=3

Or, 6y+7x=126xy

Dividing both sides by xy, we get

6/x+ 7/y= 126

1/2x-1/3y= 5

Or, 3y-2x/6xy= 5

Or, 3y-2x= 30xy

Dividing both sides by xy, we get

3/x-2/y= 30

Let 1/x= a and 1/y= b.

Hence ,the two equations are. 3a-2b= 30....(1)

6a+7b= 126......(2)

Multiplying (1) by 2, and (2) by 1, we get:

6a-4b= 60.....(3)

6a+7b= 126......(4)

Substracting (3) from (4), we get

11 b= 66

Or, b= 6

Substituting b by 1/y we get

1/y= 6 or, y= 1/6.

Putting the value of a in(1) ,we get:

3a=30+2*6

Or, a= 42/3

Or,a = 14

Substituting a by 1/X, we get:

1/x= 14

Or, x= 1/14
