Answer:

2xsq.-5x+2 by splitting the middle term

2xsq.-4x-x+2

2x(x-4)-1(x-2)

(2x-1)(x-2)

now,

2x-1=0. and x-1=o

x=1/2. and. x=1

Answer:

x  = 2 \:  \: or \:  \:  \: x =  \frac{1}{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

2 {x}^{2}  - 5x + 2 = 0  \\ or \: 2 {x}^{2}  - 4x - x  + 2 = 0 \\ or \: 2x(x - 2) - (x - 2)  = 0\\ or \:  \: (x - 2)(2x - 1)  = 0\\  \\ so \: x - 2 = 0 \\or \:  x = 2 \\  \\ otherwise \:  \: 2x - 1 = 0 \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \: or \: 2x = 1 \\ \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  or \:  \:  \:  \: x =  \frac{1}{2}
