substitute (3) in (2) ;
7((4y-1) /3) + 3y = 5
multiplying with 3 on both sides
7(4y-1) + 3y = 5
28y - 7 + 3y = 5
31y = 12
y = 12/31
substitute y=12/31 in (1) ;
7x + 3(12/31) = 5
7x = 5 - (36/31) = (155 - 36) /31 = 119/31
x = 119/(7)(31) = (119/217)
x = 119/217
