Given Equation

3x - 4y = 7 (i)

x + 2y = 3 (ii)

To find

Value of x and y using Substitution Method

Now Take (ii)

x + 2y = 3

x = 3 - 2y (iii)

Put the value of x on (i)st equation

3x - 4y = 7 (i)

3(3 - 2y) - 4y = 7

9 - 6y - 4y = 7

- 10y = 7 - 9

-10y = -2

y = 2/10

y = 1/5

Now Put the value of y on (iii)eq

x = 3 - 2y (iii)

x = 3 - 2×1/5

x = 3 - 2/5

x = (15 - 2)/5

x = 13/5

Answer

x = 13/5 and y = 1/5
