Hello buddy!

Here is the question ->

3x-y=3 --------(1) ×2

7x+2y=20. ---------(2)

Solution ->

Now, multiply eq. 1 by 2

We'll get,

6x - 2y= 6. ---------(3)

Now, adding equations 2 and 3

We get,

7x+2y+6x-2y=20+6

13x = 26

X = 2.

Then, value of y = 3x-3 [from eq. (1)]

y = 3.

Hope it helps❤️

Answer:

x = 2, y = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

Given Equations are:

(i) 3x - y = 3

(ii) 7x + 2y = 20

On solving (i) * 7 & (ii) * 3, we get

21x - 7y = 21

21x + 6y = 60

--------------------

13y = 39

y = 3

Substitute y = 3 in (ii), we get

⇒ 21x + 6y = 60

⇒ 21x + 6(3) = 60

⇒ 21x + 18 = 60

⇒ 21x = 42

⇒ x = 2.

Therefore, the values of x and y are 2 and 3.

Hope it helps!
