Step-by-step explanation:

3x-y=5 - -----(1)

x+3y=5----------(2)

from equation first equation3x-y=5

y=3x-5

Now put the value of" y" in

equation x+3y=5

so we

obtain

x+3y=5

x+3( 3x-5)=5

x+9x-15=5

10x=20

x=2

now put the value of x in equation in y=3x-5

y=3×2-5

y=1

therefore x=2 and y=1
