= {3x}^{2} + x - 14 = 0

= {3x}^{2} + 7x - 6x - 14 = 0

= x (3x + 7) - 2 ( 3x + 7) = 0

= (3x + 7) (x - 2) = 0

  • Separate into possible cases.

= (3x + 7) = 0

= (x - 2) = 0

  • Solve the equations.

= x = \dfrac{-7}{3}

= x = 2

So, these two are solutions of this equation.
