Given -

\sf 4 + 5(x - 1) = 34

To -

Solve the above equation.

Solutions -

\sf 4 + 5(x  - 1) = 34

\sf 4 + 5x - 5 = 34

\sf 5x = 34 - 4 + 5

\sf 5x = 35

x =\cancel{\dfrac{35}{5}}

\sf x = 7

Procedure -

This question is from the linear equation.

First we will multiply the +5 with that one variable and one constant which is there in the bracket. Then we will write their products.

We have put -4 and +5 because whenever we transpose any constant to another side then it's original sign changes.

Then for finding the value of x will be make a fraction 35/5 then we will cancel it out, and therefore the final answer is 7.
