\huge\underline{\pink{\bf Answer :-}}

\implies4(x - 2) = 2

\implies4x - 8 = 2

\implies4x = 2 + 8

\implies4x = 10

\impliesx = (10)/4

\impliesx = 5/2

Hope it helps :)

Given:-

  • solve the equation 4(x-2)=2.

To find:-

  • Value of x.

Solution:-

Using associative property:-

  • {\mathtt{\huge{\red{\underline{4x-2=4x-4(2)}}}}}

  • {\mathtt{\huge{\red{\underline{=>4x-8=2}}}}}

  • {\mathtt{\huge{\red{\underline{=>4x=2+8}}}}}

  • {\mathtt{\huge{\red{\underline{=>x=10/4}}}}}

  • {\mathtt{\huge{\red{\underline{=>x=5/2}}}}}

Answer of the equation is5/2 .

Value of x is 5/2

Explanation:-

Hey mate! here is your concept's clarification.

start from the beggining!

_________________________________________________

  • So for an equation we know that we have two sides that is L.H.S.(Left hand side) and R.H.S. (right Hand side).

  • These two sides lie to the left and right of the "equal to sign".

  • On L.H.S. only variables must lie and on R.H.S only constants (numbers).

________________________________________________

we know that to find value of any quantity which is not exactly given we form an equation and while forming it the constants too are on L.H.S. and some variable on R.H.S so as the rule is that R.H.S must only contain constants and L.H.S. only variables.

This is why we solve an equation and while solving we move the variables and constants to there correct places but for that too there are rules .

Know about the rules by reading down↓:-

_____________________________________________

  • If there is plus sign before a constant on L.H.S. it will be moved to R.H.S. and the sign will become minus.

  • If there is minus it will become plus.

  • If it's multiplication then it will become division.

  • And if it's division it will become multiplication.

Read the below table↓

  • L.H.S. (+)=R.H.S.(-)

  • L.H.S.(-)= R.H.S.(+)

  • L.H.S. (÷)=R.H.S.(×)

  • L.H.S.(×)=R.H.S.(÷).

_____________________________________________

I hope all concept of the sides are clear!

Let's take an example if the concept is not cleared!

_____________________________________________

  • 45x-2=88

As 2 is in minus form it will become plus om R.H.S.

  • =>45x=88+2

now on adding 88 and 2 we got 90 and as 45 is in multiplication form it will change to division.

  • =>x=90/45

Hence,when 90 and 45 got divided it gave 2

  • =>x=2

To check the answer reple 2 by x.

  • =>45×2-2=88

  • =>90-2=88

  • =>88=88

  • =>1=1

_____________________________________________

hence proved!

Hope it helped!
