solve the equation 5/x+1/y=2 and 6/x-3/y=1​

Answer:

let 1/x be a

and 1/y be b

now new equation will be

5a+b=2 -------1

6a-3b=1 ---------2

now multiply equation 1 with 3, and then add equation 1 and 2

15a+3b=6

6a-3b=1

=> 21a=7

a=7/21

a=1/3

I.e x=3

now add value of a in equation 2

2-3b=1

3b=2-1

3b=1

b=1/3

I.e. y =3
