8(x-2)-4(5-x)=12

8x-16-20+4x=12

12x-36=12

 \bold{ \huge{ \red{SoLuTiOn}}}

 \bold{ ⟹  8(x - 2) - 4(5 - x) = 12}

 \bold{ ⟹ 8x - 16 - 20 + 4x = 12}

 \bold{ ⟹ 8x + 4x = 12 + 16 + 20}

 \bold{⟹ 12x = 48}

 \bold{⟹ x =  \frac{48}{12} }

 \bold{⟹  x = 4}

Hope it helps..........
