  • We have to evaluate the above expression by using the given data.

              Given data:- 50x-175=-125.

              To find:- Value of the expression.

              Solution:-

  • Here we will use the transposition method.
  • Transposition is one of the linear equations.
  • To solve the transposition method we will Identify the variables and constants.
  • Then we Simplify the equation in LHS and RHS.
  • Now Simplify the equation using arithmetic operations.

        By using the transposition method.

        we get,

                  50x-175=-125\\=>50x=125+175\\=>50x=300\\=>x=\frac{300}{50} \\=>x=6.

       Hence we will get the value x=6.

To find : value of x

Given : 50x - 175= -125

Solution :

  • Here, we will use the below following steps to find a solution using the transposition method:
  1. We will Identify the variables and constants in the given equation.
  2. Then we differentiate the equation as LHS and RHS.
  • We take constants at RHS leaving variable at LHS.
  1. Simplify the equation using arithmetic operation as required to find the value of x
  2. Then the result will be the solution for the given linear equation. By using the transposition method. we get,
  • 50x - 175= -125

       50x = -125 +175 \\50x = 50\\x = \frac{50}{50} \\x = 1

Hence, on solving the above expression we get value of x as  1 .
