Question:-

8( 2x - 5 ) - 6 ( 3x -7 ) = 1 , find the value of x

Solution:-

=> 8( 2x - 5 ) - 6 ( 3x -7 ) = 1

=> 16x - 40 -18x + 42 = 1

=> 2 - 2x = 1

=> - 2x = 1 - 2

=> -2x = - 1

=> x = 1/2

Now check the answer , put the value of x on given equation

8( 2x - 5 ) - 6 ( 3x -7 ) = 1

  \to \: 8(2 \times  \frac{1}{2}  - 5) - 6(3 \times  \frac{1}{2}  - 7)  = 1

\to \: 8(1  - 5) - 6( \frac{3}{2}  - 7)  = 1

\to \: 8( - 4) - 6( \frac{3 - 14}{2}   )  = 1

\to \: 8( - 4) - 3( { - 11})  = 1

\to \:  - 32 + 33  = 1

1 = 1

Hence:- LHS = RHS
