Answer:

 \frac{x}{2}  +   \frac{x}{3}   = 1 \\

We know that LCM of 2 and 3 is 6.

So

 \frac{x}{2} \times 6 +  \frac{x}{3}  \times 6 = 1 \times 6 \\  \\ \: so \: 3x + 2x = 6 \\  \\ 5x = 6 \: \\  \\  \therefore \: x =  \frac{6}{5}
