Solve it by bodmas rule

$3x - \frac{1}{5} - \frac{x}{7} = 3 \\ \\ \frac{15x - 1}{5} - \frac{x}{7} = 3 \\ \\ \frac{105x - 7 - 5x}{35} =3$

$\\ \frac{100x - 7}{35} = 3 \\ \\ 100x - 7 = 105 \\ \\ 100x = 105 + 7$

$100x = 112 \\ \\ x = \frac{112}{100} \\ \\ x = 1.12$
