3x-9=5x-3
3x-5x=-3+9

\underline{CHECKING}

\boxed{x = -3} \\ \\ Putting \: \: the \: \: value \: \: of \: x \: \: in \: \: the \: equation :-  \\ \\ We \: \: get,

3x - 9 = 5x - 3 \\ \\ = &gt; 3 \times ( - 3) - 9= 5 \times ( - 3) - 3 \\ \\ = &gt; - 9 - 9 = - 15 - 3 \\ \\ = &gt; - 18 = - 1 8 \\ \\ So , \\ \\ L.H.S. = R<br />H.S.
