2(y-3) =7(y-8)=
Removing brackets
2y-6=7y-56
2y-7y=-56+6
-5y=-50
-y=-10

2(y-3) = 7(y-8)
to verify it we have to multiply 2 with the whole bracketĀ and 7 with the whole bracket
2y-6 = 7y-56
then separate like terms
2y-7y = -56+6
-5y = --50
now by transporting method take 5 right side
-y = -50/5
now the negative sign will be removed from both sides
y = 10
