To Find :

\sf{\frac{2}{5}x - 8 = 20 + \frac{3}{4}x}

____________________________

Solution :

\sf{\implies \dfrac{2}{5}x - \dfrac{3}{4} = 20 + 8} \\ \\ \sf{\implies \dfrac{8x - 15x}{20} = 28} \\ \\ \sf{\implies \dfrac{-7x}{20} = 28} \\ \\ \sf{\implies -7x = 28 \times 20} \\ \\ \sf{\implies -7x = 560} \\ \\ \sf{\implies x = \dfrac{\cancel{560}}{-\cancel{7}}} \\ \\ \sf{\implies x = -80}

\rule{200}{2}

Verification :

For verification put value of x.

\sf{\implies \dfrac{2}{\cancel{5}}(-\cancel{80}) - 8 = 20 + \dfrac{3}{\cancel{4}}(-\cancel{80})} \\ \\ \sf{\implies 2(-16) - 8 = 20 + 3(-20)} \\ \\ \sf{\implies - 32 - 8 = 20 -60} \\ \\ \sf{\implies -40 = -40}
