 {x}^{2}  + 8x \:  = 5 \\  {x }^{2}  + 8x - 5 = 0 \\  {x}^{2}  + 2(x)(4) +  {4}^{2}  -  {4}^{2}  - 5  = 0\\  ({x + 4})^{2}  - 21  = 0\\ ( {x + 4 +  \sqrt{21)} } (x + 4 -  \sqrt{21} )  = 0\\ x =  \sqrt{21}  - 4 \:  \:  \: and \:  - ( \sqrt{21}  + 4)
