solve the equation by elimination method x+y=3.3, 0.6÷3x-2y=-1​

Multiply the first equation by -3,and multiply the second equation by 1.
−3(x+y=3.3)
1(3x−2y=0.6)
−3x−3y=−9.9
3x−2y=0.6
Add these equations to eliminate x
-5y=-9.3
Y=1.86
Now that we've found y let's plug it back in to solve for x.
x+y=3.3
Now x= 1.44
