(p+q)²x²+(p+q)x-2=0
take (p+q)=t
t²x²+tx-2=0
t²x²+2tx-tx-2=0
tx(tx+2)-1(tx+2)=0
(tx-1)(tx+2)=0
(tx-1)=0 ; (tx+2)=0
x= 1/t ; x=-2/t
x= 1/p+q ; x = -2/p+q
put the value of t = p+q
take (p+q)=t
t²x²+tx-2=0
t²x²+2tx-tx-2=0
tx(tx+2)-1(tx+2)=0
(tx-1)(tx+2)=0
(tx-1)=0 ; (tx+2)=0
x= 1/t ; x=-2/t
x= 1/p+q ; x = -2/p+q
put the value of t = p+q
