X-20=12y.......... 2)
From equation 2
X=12y+20
Put x=12y+20 in equation 1
5(12y+20) +4y-4=0
60y+100+4y-4=0
96+64y=0
64y= -96
y= -94/64 = -3/2
Put y=-3/2 in x= 12y+20
x=12y+20
12×-3/2+20
-18+20=2
