Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

Cos (5X)=1/√2

To find:-

Find value of x in degrees such that 0 degree <x<60 degrees. Answer upto 0 decimal.

Solution:-

Given that

Cos (5X)=1/√2

We know that 1/√2 is equal to the cosine value of 45°

=>Cos 5X = Cos 45°

=>5X = 45°

Since X is an acute angle

=>X = 45°/5

=>X=9°

Answer:-

The value of X = 9°

Check:-.

If X = 9 then

LHS = Cos(5×9°)

=>Cos 45°

=>1/√2

=>RHS

LHS=RHS is true for X=9°

Used formula:-

  • Cos 45°=1/√2
