7x - 5 = 6x
7x-6x=5
x=5

7x - 5 /2x = 3

7x - 5 /2x  = 3/1

1(7x-5) = 3(2x)

7x-5 = 6x

6x = 7x - 5

6x-7x = -5

-x = -5

x = 5 is the answer
