Hello!

\star\: \bf\small{ANSWER} :

\boxed{\red{\bf{p = 20}}}

\star \: \bf\small{EXPLANATION} :

\sf p + 12 = 32 \\ \\ \implies \sf p + \cancel{12} - \cancel{12} = 32 - 12 \\ \\ \implies \boxed{\red{\bf{p = 20}}}

\star\: \bf\small{AXIOM} :

When equals are subtracted from equals their remainders are also equal.

Cheers!

We have P +12 = 32 => P+12-12=32-12 =>P=20. Àxiom used : when equals are from equals then remainder are equal.
