2x-3y=12 , first equation

then we will multiply x+2y=-1 by 2

= 2x+4y =-2 , second equation

now subtract equation 1 from 2

2x+4y=-2

-2x+3y=-12

7y= -14

y =-2

from equation 1

2x-3y =12

2x+6=12

2x=6

x=3 and y= -2
