Hii friend.......
(x-1)^2-5(x-1)-6=0
x^2+1-2x-5x+5-6=0
x^2+1-7x-1 =0
x^2-7x = 0
x(x-7) = 0
So,x =0 & x= 7

➡HERE IS YOUR ANSWER⬇

Given that :

(x-1)²-5(x-1)-6=0 .....(i)

Let, x-1 = a

Then, (i) becomes

a²-5a-6 = 0

or, (a-6)(a+1) = 0

So, either a-6=0 or a+1=0 => a=6, -1

Then,

x-1=6 and x-1 = -1

or, x = 7 or, x = 0.

So, the solution is :

x = 7, 0.
