▪ X + Y = 5 ......... Eq. {A.} ( given)

multiply by 3 on both sides .

▪ 3 ( X + Y ) = 5 × 3

▪ 3X + 3Y = 15 .................... Eq.[ 1. ]

Now,

▪ 2X - 3Y = 4 ........ Eq.[2.] ( given)

Adding Eq.1 and Eq.2

¤¤ 3X + 3Y + 2X - 3Y = 15 + 4

¤¤ 5X = 19

===============
¤¤ X = 19 / 5
===============

Put Value of X in Eq. [A]

¤¤ 19/ 5 + Y = 5

¤¤ (19+5Y) / 5 = 5

¤¤ 19 + 5Y = 25

¤¤ 5Y = 25 - 19

¤¤ 5Y = 6

=============
¤¤ Y = 6/5
