 \frac{5}{6}  =   \frac{ 3 + 2y}{3}

3 + 2y =  \frac{5}{6}  \times 3

3 + 2y =  \frac{5}{2}

2(3 + 2y) = 5

6 + 4y = 5

4y = 5 - 6

y =  \frac{ - 1}{4}
