heya Mate here is your answer

 <u> <i>

given equations

2x + 3y = 1.....(i) and. 3x-y=7......(ii)

multiplying 3 on equation (ii)

9x - 3y = 21.....(iii)

adding equation (i) and (ii)

2x +3y+9x -3y = 1+21

=> 11x = 22

=> x = 22/11 = 2

now, putting the value of x in equation (ii)

3(2) -y = 7

=> 7+y = 6

=> y = 6-7 = -1

therefore, the values of x and y are 2 and -1 respectively

hope it helps you
