2x - y= 1                                                   4x - 7y = -2

⇒ 2x = 1 + y                                        ⇒ 4x = -2 + 7y

⇒ x = (1 + y)/2                                     ⇒ (1 + y)/2 = (-2 + 7y)/4

                                                           ⇒ 2 + 2y = -2 + 7y

                                                           ⇒ 2 + 2 = 7y - 2y

                                                           ⇒ 5y = 4

                                                           ⇒ y = 4/5

If you want more exact Answer then you may also write that :

    x = (1 + 4/5)/2

⇒ x = [(5 + 4)/5]/2

⇒ x = 9/5 * 1/2

⇒ x = 9/10

⇒ x = 0.9

Answer : x = 0.9 and y = 4/5

Answer:

1) x=\frac{1+y}{2}, y=-1x 2) x=\frac{5y}{4\\}, y=\frac{-6x}{-7}

Step-by-step explanation:

1) 2x-y=1

2x=1+y

x=\frac{1+y}{2}

2x-y=1

y=1-2x

y=-1x

2) 4x-7y=-2

4x=-2+7y

4x=5y

x=\frac{5y}{4}

4x-7y=-2

-7y=-2-4x

-7y=-6x

y=\frac{-6x}{-7}

hope this helps :) plz mark me as brainliest :(
