khalifasawesomp61qft: These are hard methods. There is an easier and simpler way for this. First, subtract the equations, 37x + 43y = 123 and 43x + 37y = 117
greathelper24: thanks for telling
khalifasawesomp61qft: You will get -6x + 6y = 6. Remove the commons out and you will get y-x = 1 . This means, y = 1 + x. Now, substitute the value of y in any of the equations.
greathelper24: i understood
khalifasawesomp61qft: Ah! Sorry! By the way, you're welcome.
greathelper24: no problem

we use elimination method

43(37x +43y =123)
37(43x+37y= 117)

=1591x+1369y=4329 -------- 1
1591x + 1849y =5289 --------- 2

subtracting 1 from 2
=480y=960
y=2
putting in 1

1591x + 1369(2)=4329

1591x =4329-2738
x=1
