Step-by-step explanation:

3x-y=12 --(1)

9x-y=24--(2)

To solve subtract equation 1 & 2

I two equations there exist a same term y so when subtracting it become 0

after subtracting the equation become

-6x= -12

x= -12/-6

= 2

We get the value of x as 2 for finding the value of y substitute the value of x in any of the equation I am now putting the Value in first equation then 3×2-y=12

6-y=12

-y=12-6

-y=6

y=-6

I hope this helps you please mark thankyou and list me in the brainliest
