Answer:

By elimination method

Subtracting equation :-

x + y = 75 -(x - y = 15)

x + y = 75 -x +y = -15

2y = 60

y = 60/2

y = 30

Putting value of y in x + y = 75

x + 30 = 75

x = 75 - 30

x = 45

Answer:

x=45,y=30

Step-by-step explanation:

x+y=75. ...(1)

x-y=15. ....(2)

Using elimination method-

On Adding equation 1st and 2nd, we get

=> x+y=75

+( x-y=15)

=> 2x=90

=> x=90/2

=> x=45

On putting x=45 in equation 1, we get

=> 45+y=75

=> y=75-45

=> y = 30
