Given Equation

x² - xy = 0 (i)

x + y = 1 (ii)

To Find

Value of x and y

Now Simplify (i)st equation

x² - xy = 0 (i)

x(x - y) = 0

x - y = 0 (i)

We have

x - y = 0 (i)

x + y = 1 (ii)

Now Using Substitution Method so take (i)eq

x = y

Put the value of x on (ii)

y + y = 1

2y = 1

y = 1/2

Value of x = 1/2 and y = 1/2

Answer

x = 1/2 and y = 1/2
